Transient weather and transient ambient contaminants are implemented in CONTAM 2.1 as external files that contain the weather and contaminant-related data. In order to implement transient weather and wind, you must create CONTAM-compatible weather and contaminant files. NIST provides a utility program, WEATHER, to create CONTAM-compatible files.
- Converts existing CONTAM 1.0 weather files to the 2.0 format weather and ambient contaminant files. CONTAM 2.1 uses the same weather file format as version 2.0.
- Convert TMY2 and EnergyPlus (.EPW) weather files to the CONTAM 2.0 weather file format.
- Create weather file templates into which you can place your own data (e.g., experimental data).
