BFRL’s Domanski Honored by IIR
The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) honored Piotr Domanski with the IIR Science and Technology Medal, one of the top three IIR recognitions. The medal was awarded on Aug. 21, 2003, during the award banquet of the 21st International Congress of Refrigeration, held at the Mariott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. The IIR Science and Technology Medal is awarded once every four years, on the occasion of the Congress, for outstanding achievements in science and technology over an extended period of time. Domanski is a leader of the HVAC&R Equipment Performance Group in the Building Environment Division of BFRL and has been at NIST since 1983.
Based in Paris, France, the IIR is an intergovern-mental organization linking 61 countries that account for 80 percent of the global population. Its objective is to promote progress and expansion of knowledge on refrigeration technology.
